Stephen KiteStephen Kite has exhibited his watercolours and pastels since 1984; he exhibited regularly at the Society of Architect Artists at RIBA in London, and he has had a successful solo show at Gallagher & Turner. His paintings focus on his love of buildings, and the studies he has exhibited consistently demonstrate their beauty, many sketches depicting architectural styles epitomising the cities he visits. The ancient, crumbling windows and doorways of Venice have provided much inspiration for Stephen, as has the ironwork of the fire escape ladders in New York. Stephen Kite is a Reader at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, his previous post was at Newcastle University School of Architecture, where he was a Senior Lecturer. |
